Puerto Vallarta to Host the 2025 Ariel Awards

Puerto Vallarta has been chosen to host the 67th edition of the Ariel Awards, the most important ceremony in Mexican cinema, presented by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AMACC).
This announcement was made official during the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), and it represents a significant milestone for our destination, as it will be the first time these prestigious awards are held in Puerto Vallarta.
The gala is scheduled for September 20th, 2025, and is expected to gather around 800 guests, including nominees, media, prominent figures from national cinema, and more than 80 producers interested in filming in Jalisco. With this, Puerto Vallarta will not only become the setting for a night of artistic celebration but also a location that could attract future film productions.
The Ariel Awards recognize excellence in 25 categories covering all disciplines of filmmaking, highlighting the creativity, technique, and passion that characterize Mexican cinema. This year, the Golden Ariel will be presented to renowned actresses Patricia Reyes Spíndola and Jacqueline André, in homage to their remarkable careers.
Finally, the creation of the FILMA Award was announced. Starting in 2026, this award will carry on the vision of the Hecho en Jalisco (Made in Jalisco) Award, which was created to celebrate productions made in the region.
With this announcement, Puerto Vallarta reaffirms its place on the map of Mexican cinema and prepares to welcome the best of national talent for what promises to be a historic gala.
